About Road To Avonlea:
Road to Avonlea is a tv show made by Kevin Sullivan and based on the novels by L. M. Montgomery. It takes place in the town of Avonlea, and features some of the same characters from Anne of Green Gables.
The show follows the life of Sarah Stanley, the long lost King cousin. She returns to Prince Edward Island to live with her two unmarried Aunts, Hetty and Oliva. Right next door, lives her Uncle Alec, Aunt Janet, Felicity, Felix, and Cecily. Life in Avonlea is just like retuning to the beloved Anne of Green Gables movies when Marilla and Rachel Lynde decide to adopt two twins. Davey Keith turns out to be quite a handful when he ties Rachel's corset to a pig and lets it run through Avonlea's main street. Soon after, we meet Gus Pike who moves into the lighthouse. Avonlea also has its share of teachers, starting with Aunt Hetty, and then Mr. Pettibone. The first day his children arrive at school, Izzy socks Felix in the nose. And don't forget Avonlea's favorite teacher, Miss Stacy, who returns to run the general store.
